RJAYAmbrose Photography is….
● WHAT WAS THE BURNING FLAME THAT KICK-STARTED YOUR JOURNEY IN PHOTOGRAPHY; WHAT BROUGHT FORTH RJAYAmbrose PHOTOGRAPHY ?
First, it was my love for creativity and capturing moments because moments lost are priceless and cannot be gotten back in the exact way. For instance, I personally can’t find any picture of my grandparents and I don’t know how they look like and this is sad . I love documenting, I love moments I always wanted to tell stories with my pictures to put smiles on faces of which I’m doing now happily and would also matter greatly in the nearest future. That’s the drive.
● APART FROM PHOTOGRAPHY, WHAT OTHER BUSINESSES ARE YOU INVOLVED IN?
I’m as well a social media strategist, a model and a fashion designer
● WHAT HAS BEEN THE HURDLES IN YOUR BUSINESS AND HOW HAVE YOU BEEN ABLE TO OVERCOME THEM?
The biggest hurdle I had and still have is not having a professional camera of my own due to its cost. But then, creativity is me, I’ve not allowed that to limit me in anyway, I lend cameras and most times I use what I have, one of my best pictures so far was taken with my mobile phone and I’ve entered for competitions with that particular picture.
● WHO IS YOUR TARGET AUDIENCE AND HOW DO YOU MAKE SURE YOU GIVE YOUR CLIENTS THE BEST OF THE BEST?
Everyone isn’t my audience… People that appreciates my creativity and style are my audience. Furthermore, Branding is a promise, note that. A PROMISE TO HAPPINESS. A PROMISE TO SATISFACTION. It’s a commitment that serves as a chain between your customer and yourself. So here’s what I do, I usually make sure every client of mine has an EXPERIENCE with me, not just about taking pictures and business, but a worthwhile experience. For example, taking pleasure in their happiness before, during and AFTER the shoot and that’s basically what makes them stay.
● AS A STARTUP WITH MUCH ACHIEVED, WHERE DO YOU SEE YOUR BUSINESS IN THE NEXT 5 YEARS
Okay, Rjayambrose Photography is 7 months old and in the next five years should be already training world class entrepreneurs in photography, impacting people to see the beauty in the world through their camera lenses and ultimately making them pacesetters in their world at large.
● WHO ARE THE PROFESSIONALS YOU LOOK UP TO IN THIS CHOSEN FIELD AND WHY DO YOU FOLLOW/LEARN FROM THEM?
Shola Animashaun. He is a father, friend (hommie as he calls me) and mentor He was first to see the potentials in me and he began harnessing them. Shola Animashaun taught me that “The exam of life has no timetable” which is basically being ready at any point in time and this has brought me this far to work with people I never thought of working with . Also Ty Bello is another person I emulate She has her style, she is in her own world and people pay her for her creativity.
● WHAT IS YOUR CANDID ADVISE TO ALL STARTUPS, ESPECIALLY THOSE IN YOUR CHOSEN NICHE?
To start-ups, Photography materials are expensive , yeah But really please note that, “IT’S NOT WHAT YOU DON’T HAVE THAT LIMITS YOU, IT’S WHAT YOU HAVE BUT DON’T KNOW HOW TO USE” You have eyes, You have a creative brain, You have smart phones.. Utilize them all Creativity is in you, Not your camera.
